The Boone Shag Club was formed in 1987 and has always promoted
Carolina Shag Dancing in the high country of North Carolina.

Boone Shag Club's mission: To promote and preserve the heritage of beach music and carolina shag dancing: to educate and teach others the art of carolina shag dancing; to provide its members and guests with dance opportunities; to inform its members of beach music and carolina shag dancing opportunities. We are a member of the ACSC (Association of Carolina Shag Clubs) with over 100 member clubs up and down the east coast.

Carol Query
In the fall of 2019 the Boone Shag Club Board of Directors voted to make Carol Query the first member to achieve board emeritus status. Carol has served the Boone Shag Club since the very first day with distinction and excellence and grace. Thank you Carol!
