The Boone Shag Club was formed in 1988 and has always promoted
Carolina Shag Dancing in the high country.
Boone Shag Club's mission: To promote and preserve the heritage of beach music and carolina shag dancing: to educate and teach others the art of carolina shag dancing; to provide its members and guests with dance opportunities; to inform its members of beach music and carolina shag dancing opportunities. We are a member of the ACSC (Association of Carolina Shag Clubs) with over 100 member clubs up and down the east coast.
